In mainland China, the liang, often written as tael in English, weighs 50 g. Its value is the gram price times 50 at the same purity. The widget itself shows grams and troy ounces only.
What this gold value covers
The value comes from the gold spot price and reflects gold content only. It excludes dealer premium, making charges and tax, which a shop's selling price includes.
