Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from the account page. Billing is prorated to the day, and we don't charge setup or cancellation fees. If you cancel mid-month, your key stays live until the end of the period.
What is the Physical tier?
Physical ($10/mo) is what gold actually costs where you are: real dealer and retail prices per country — 12 countries today, from Antam bars in Indonesia to Tanaka retail in Japan to the SGE benchmark in China — each quote carrying its premium over international spot as a first-class field. Not spot-times-purity arithmetic (that stays free): these are prices scraped from the dealers themselves. It also includes gold futures, the 1-minute live oracle, and a year of history. What does Pro add over Physical?
Pro ($30/mo) adds all three metals — gold, silver, and copper — plus 30 years of daily history, intraday OHLC, and commercial use with attribution. It includes everything in Physical.
What is the Realtime Pro tier?
Realtime Pro ($80/mo) is everything, streamed. A persistent WebSocket connection with live XAU and XAG tick data, plus a physical:{country}channel pushing dealer-quote changes as they land. Up to 10 concurrent connections per key. It includes everything in Pro. (This is the tier formerly named "Realtime" — same price, new products included.)
Where did the Basic tier go?
We stopped selling it. The $10 Basic tier is closed to new signups — its data scope (gold futures, 1 year of history) now lives inside Physical. If you're an existing Basic subscriber: nothing changes for you. Your price, limits, and key are grandfathered exactly as they are, for as long as you keep the subscription.
Why is MCP on every plan?
Because MCP is how people evaluate the API. If we gate it behind Pro, you can't try it in Claude Desktop or Cursor before you commit. All 8 tools are visible on every plan — the paid product (get_physical_price) returns rich static samples in the docs so agents can evaluate it without live access, and unlocks with the matching tier.
What happens when I hit my rate limit?
We return 429 Too Many Requests with a Retry-Afterheader. We never auto-bill you for overage. Hitting your monthly cap suspends the key until the reset date; there's no silent overage billing. Sustained abuse triggers a conversation, not a charge.
Can I use this in a commercial product?
On Proand above, yes, with a visible attribution like "Powered by goldprice.dev". Full text and placement guidance on the Attribution page. Free and Physical are for internal use (dashboards, backtests, personal tools). The separate, branded official gold price widget is free on personal and commercial websites when its iframe and visible attribution remain intact. Redistribution (reselling our feed as your feed) is not permitted on any tier.
